Wow, no one has blogged for 2 years?

Well, that is interesting. I'm surprised someone hasn't posted as of yet. So I guess I'll crash the blog. Not much to say. I have quit school for awhile. I do not know if I will complete my degree in graphic design or not. I have completed my web design certificate and more importantly, my photography certificate.

I have been employed at the Blue Hill Leader (newspaper) for nine months. I really love my job. I am writing stories once per week and covering sports. Now that sports season is pretty much over, I'll be going back to one story per week. I have covered a range of topics. I provide more coverage to Silver Lake and the other areas that don't get covered a lot.

I still do my photography part time. I end up doing more still life than portraits. I can do portraits, but it is not my strong suite. I prefer birds, sunsets, macro, etc. I have also invested in two new lenses. One is for work and one is for fun. I have a 70-200 2.8 and a 105 macro. I love my macro lens. It is pretty awesome. I was using the filters, but I get so much better pictures than the filters.

I received best of show at the county fair this past summer in photography. I was impressed, as I didn't expect to win. I have met my one goal of getting best of show. This past summer was my last year exhibiting at state fair, as I have gone over the threshold of amateur level. It is from my job. But I will be taking my blue ribbon classic and my best of show this year to state fair, if the world is still existing. (Queen Elizabeth and her dire prediction of the world coming to an end in August).

Other than that, there is not much more that has been up with me. I have remained in my apt, enjoy isolating and haven't done much otherwise. I do workout at the gym, but I try to stay home as much as possible. It's just who I am. :)

Well, hopefully with me blogging, people will start writing again. I don't know what else to do to get people to write. LOL. Maybe we need to go back to the old chain letters. HA!

Enjoy the week and weekend coming up. Well, okay, make that in a few days :) I will post some photos another time.
